Key to Coding System
Simpler components are categorized according to their use, the system and the size.
Their use is classified whether they are start-up, surgical, prosthetic, laboratory or miscellaneous. (i.e. 3000 to 5000 series are related to the surgical components)
Each component is further subdivided using a “letter” at the beginning of the code to designate which system the component belongs to.
The last number in the code refers to the size of the component, (i.e. S5005 = 4mm x 8mm Simpler HA Coated implant
Components for Simpler use only begin with the letter “S”.
Components for Anchor use only begin with the letter ”A”.
Components for either Simpler or Anchor use begin with the letter “AS”.
Components for Simpler One use only begin with the letter “SI”.
Components for Simpler Threaded use only begin with the letter “ST”.
Components for Simpler One Threaded use only begin with the letter “SIT”.
Components for Swedish type use only begin with the letter “B”.
